Let’s be honest.
If you have kids, your house is not a “home.”
It’s a rotating system of:
- missing socks
- random toys (side note – my 2 year old uses this toy every single day – its the perfect educational toys especially for my speech delayed kid)
- half-eaten snacks
- and one mysterious sticky spot no one claims responsibility for
I used to think I was just “bad at organizing.”
Turns out… I just had children.
🧠 My Turning Point
Growing up, I lived in a crowded house with way too many people in one space. So chaos was normal. If you could walk through the room without stepping on someone, that was considered “clean.”
Now as an adult, I realized something:
Chaos is fine…
until you’re the one cleaning it every single day.
So I started looking for simple systems, not perfection.

Here’s what made a difference:
- Storage bins for everything (toys, random cables, mystery items) this right here is the famous organizer i see everywhere lol and yes we have it at home u bet!)
- Labeling containers (so kids can pretend they can read and still fail)
- A “1 basket rule” per room for quick cleanup
- Decluttering once a week (aka aggressively asking: “Do we even need this?”)

I won’t lie—some tools actually saved my sanity:

- Drawer organizers

- Vacuum that doesn’t make me hate my life
