Who Should Use This Tool?

This tool is designed for immigrant visa categories that are subject to annual numerical limits, including:

Family Preference Categories

• F1 – Unmarried Sons and Daughters of U.S. Citizens
• F2A – Spouses and Children of Permanent Residents
• F2B – Unmarried Adult Sons and Daughters of Permanent Residents
• F3 – Married Sons and Daughters of U.S. Citizens
• F4 – Brothers and Sisters of Adult U.S. Citizens

Employment Preference Categories

• EB-1

• EB-3 Other Workers
• EB-4
• EB-5

Immediate Relative categories (such as IR-1, IR-2, and IR-5) generally do not use the monthly Visa Bulletin in the same way because immigrant visas are not subject to the same annual numerical limits.

• The cutoff date advanced since last month.
• The cutoff date retrogressed since last month.
• No movement from the previous month.
